Gathering Souls

finished it long before i expected. i did the concept but didnt thnk it was gonna pull through. anyway, i briefly described this in my concept in scraps so ill try to explain it better here. i might do a story on them after my other one. i am planning a sequel of "Sounds" and it will include them but for now, this is all i got to explain.

Celestia used to sing a lamentation to her lost love Burnwing, even after she died her voice could be heard in the winds. Burnwing was still alive in Delbin's world, living normally. he regretted leaving her, but knew that he had to, though he could not explain why he had to. He knew she died but did not know that she was singing for him and was watching over him and the race of dragonhorses they gave rise to. Then, Celestia came down from the heavens as a Spirit. A Spirit is similar to a ghost, with major differences. you cant see, hear, touch or anything a ghost. you can only sometimes feel their presence. A Spirit can be seen, heard, felt, anything. they can choose to be transparant but normally choose to be of solid flesh. they can even die again. not of age, but of other causes such as disease, injury, etc. and can be killed by someone else. they are usually sent by God. if when they die, their task and mission in life was not completed, they are sent as Spirits to complete, no matter how long, and when it is done, ascend again. so, Celestia came as a Spirit for unknown reasons and was reunited with Burnwing. they differed greatly in size: Celestia full-grown about 18 feet tall, and Burnwing only up to her shoulder. later, Chaotic creatures including Rotten Flesh Beasts came and attacked the land. Burnwing tried to protect Celestia, but was killed. The RFBs were driven off and Celestia cried out to the sky. when she began to sing her lament, her wings glowed and balls of light gathered in them. then, Burnwing's transparant Spirit came and circled her. the two became a pair who gathered souls ready to cross over. Celestia gathers them in her wings and Burnwing takes them and carries them to where they need to go. he takes them to either Heaven or Hell. at times, Celestia can do it herself. so, her lament is no longer for Burnwing only, it is for the dead.

whoo, thas long. sorry. i tired to make it clear as possible. hopefully it makes sense.

took me two days to do. Celestia came out ok, but i had trouble with her head. angle is tough and i couldnt get her open mouth to look like she's singing. and her eyes are supposed to be more like Burnwing's and be glazed over. didnt work to well.
